KEY FEATURE
Key features of the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF825
The iPF825 44” large format printer features Canon’s unique 5-colour dye and pigment reactive ink system which produces the sharpest, thinnest lines. Designed specifically for CAD & GIS applications, a minimum line width of 0.02mm can be achieved with a range accuracy of +/- 0.01%. This unique formulation improves ink adhesion to the media and minimises colour bleeding. This means clearer text, smoother curves, and sharp fine lines even on uncoated technical papers. Using reactive inks also improves scratch and marker resistance so prints are far more durable than those printed with conventional dye inks.
The iPF825 produces 2400 x 1200 dpi and produces A0 draft prints in just 45 seconds and A1 in 24 seconds. Canon’s L-COA image processing technology combined with Gigabit Ethernet compatibility ensure stunning high speed reproductions on everything from architectural plans to geographic information. The iPF825 features a built-in 160GB hard disk for storing print jobs, easier processing of vector files, and enabling mailboxes to be created for busy corporate environments.
Continuous productivity with the imagePROGRAF iPF825 is easy, with Hot Swap high capacity ink tanks in both 330ml and 700ml, enabling ink cartridges to be replaced during production. The simple roll paper loading system and the large, bright, menu-driven LCD control panel, accessible from the front, gives easy access to sophisticated functions. Dual roll capability enables printing on different types and sizes of media or longer unattended printing for large jobs. Borderless printing technology keep you more productive as there is no need for offline trimming and Auto Skew Correction enables unattended printing by automatically adjusting for any skew in orientation and feeds the paper/media correctly.
The printer driver flexibility of the iPF825 enables seamless integration with the way you work. The iPF825’s enhanced compatibility with HP-GL/2 and HP-RTL for handling large vector files, autorotation and nesting. Enhanced HP-GL/2 compatibility includes the ability to set palette and pen settings for the most demanding CAD workflows. An optimised driver for AutoCAD and an HDI driver for Windows are also included. The Print Plug-In for Microsoft Office users enables printing directly from Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The iPF825 is economical and efficient, with built-in accounting software, allowing accurate tracking of the cost per print, enabling the ability to view the data through the print driver or export it to a CSV file for use in your own files or systems. An Economy mode can be selected which uses less ink, ideal when printing draft documents. Canon’s eMaintenance software automatically detects and manages mechanical problems and low ink levels, linking directly to a Canon Service Centre for maximum up time.
