The imagePROGRAF iPF6300S delivers a wider colour gamut, smoother gradation, deeper dark tones and sharper blacks as seen with the iPF6300, IPF6350 and iPF8300 and features higher print speed and broad workflow compatibility as well as lowering the total cost of ownership. A wider colour gamut enables the iPF6300S to be used in applications that require greater precision, and a colour profile designed for poster production adds to its versatility. Improved scratch resistance and reduced bronzing combined with higher print registration accuracy for precise text and fine lines means superb quality.

Producing 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution, the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6300S prints A1 gloss in two minutes and up to 49.6 SQM/HR. The imagePROGRAF iPF6300S incorporates a number of productivity tools including a built-in 160GB hard disk enabling the storage of large print jobs easily accessible from the printer’s large, bright and easy-to-use LCD panel. Gigabit Ethernet compatibility enables fast data transfer, even for data-heavy files or high volume print jobs.

Productivity is improved through a new mirrored nozzle layout and the option to print in the new Fast mode, which enables the print speed to be as much as doubled, while still maintaining a level of print quality that rivals that in Standard mode. When turn around is time critical, for posters and point-of-sale (POS) items, this feature is a major advantage. The iPF6300S also features Proof, Image and Economy modes, enabling the user to decide what level of image quality is needed when printing. Proof mode produces sharper text and lines, making it ideal for high precision proof printing, while Image mode enables high-precision printing of text and lines without a reduction in speed, making it a good choice when placement accuracy is less important than speed. Economy mode reduces ink consumption by almost 50%, making it convenient for producing posters for internal use or checking layouts during test printing.

Canon imagePROGRAF wide format printers use a number of advanced Canon proprietary technologies. FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print head technology and dual print head design features a total of 30,720 nozzles into just two 1” high density print heads. Bi-directional printing design of the ImagePROGAF printers means print times are significantly faster than conventional print systems which require multiple passes for each line to compensate for uneven droplet size and placement on the paper. An innovative ink-nozzle manufacturing method results in precisely uniform 4 picoliter droplets resulting in 2400 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution and outstanding photo-quality print performance.

Canon’s unique LUCIA EX pigment ink system incorporate 8 colours and superfine 4-pl (picoliter) ink droplets ensures a wider colour gamut, smoother gradation, reduced graininess and reduced bronzing. LUCIA EX ink system has an innovative polymer structure that results in exceptional scratch resistance and protection from colour fading, while reducing bronzing to ensure durable, stable output. Specific technology controls ink placement according to the ink’s characteristics resulting in superb contrasts and detailed graduation in dark areas. The LUCIA EX ink system also delivers higher print registration accuracy for precise text and fine lines which allows the iPF6300S to function as a precise proofing device.
